10 Things We Learned From Facebook's Graph Search

Facebook has unveiled Graph Search, a new way to search for information on the social network.

Currently in a limited beta, the feature allows you to search Facebook for things centered around four focus areas: People, Places, Photos and Interests. Searches unearth information shared by your friends, as well as public information on Facebook as a whole.

For instance, while traveling you can use the tool to find out what friends or friends of friends you might have in the area. If you're looking for a new job, you might use Graph Search to see if you or any of your friends happen to know anyone who works at your dream company. It could even be used for online dating.

Curious what we could discover, we did a few off-the-wall searches using Graph Search to see what general, and interesting, information might be easily accessible now.

According to Facebook, the majority of people who like Star Wars on the site also like KFC. Star wars lovers are also fans of Dairy Queen and the Facebook Culinary Team.

People Who Like Honey Boo Boo Like Playing Dragon City

Dragon City ranked top amongst games played by people who like the TLC show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Coming in second was Diamond Dash, followed by King.com's Pet Rescue Saga.

Chicago's Pizza Looks Delicious

This search for photos taken in pizza restaurants in Chicago brought up pictures of some pretty delicious looking pie.

Facebook Employees Like Mashable

Facebook's internal culinary team ranked tops amongst Mashable readers. Coming in second were patrons of Ike's Sandwich shop in San Francisco.

Engineers Like 'The Big Bang Theory'

The Big Bang Theory ranked tops amongst engineers on Facebook. Coming in second place was Friends, followed by Game of Thrones.

Musicians Like to Play Tetris Battle

Topping the list of musicians' favorite games is Tetris Battle. Musicians are also apparently fans of Angry Birds Friends and Zynga's Texas HoldEm Poker.

Apple Employees Listen to David Guetta

David Guetta ranks tops amongst Apple employees. Coming in second is the Black Eyed Peas, followed by LMFAO.

Google Employees Listen to Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd, A.R. Rahman, and Lady GaGa ranked tops for Google employees.

People Love Uploading Older Photos

There are thousands of photos that have been uploaded to Facebook, and tagged with times long before founder Mark Zuckerberg was even born. There photos, for instance, were taken in France before 1970.

Mashable readers like Inception

Inception was a popular movie amongst people who like Mashable. Other top flicks include Fight Club and Star Wars.
